The standards have changed in Vehicle Access Barriers.
The standards have changed in Vehicle Security Barriers (VSBs) with the publication of ISO 22343-1 as a new standard for vehicle impact testing. This standard replaces the previous standards of IWA 14-1 and PAS 68. The industry is currently in a transition period since the end of 2023, with test centers taking necessary measures to comply with this new standard.
ISO 22343-1 accreditation will only recognize VSBs tested in accordance with the ISO 22343-1 standard starting from March 1, 2024. Transitioning of VSBs tested according to previous standards will also be considered.
Furthermore, ISO 22343-2 standard for vehicle applications has also been published, replacing the previous standards of IWA 14-2 and PAS 69.
